A generation and transmission utility relied upon Securance Consulting to implement a GRC framework for his organization.  The framework with implemented in record time and with minimal disruption of the information technology staff.  The framework streamlined all IT processes, reduced duplication, and enabled compliance.

A distributor of building supplies wanted to manage technology-related risks but because of numerous internally developed systems and budget constraints did not know which technologies presented the greatest risk.  Securance Consulting developed a technology risk matrix that identified and prioritized the greatest technology risks facing the distributor.

A convenience and service station chain did not agree with the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance deficiencies reported by its external accounting firm.  Securance Consulting reviewed the deficiencies and successfully challenged the them. 

Implementation of Application Controls to Prevent Fraud
Many internally developed applications do not inherently provide for adequate segregation of duties.  As a result, fraudulent activity is easier to perform using internally developed systems or systems that do not have a large user base.  Securance Consulting has successfully worked with a number of organizations and 3rd party software development firms to improve application controls and in select cases prevent fraud.
