Firm Overview
Securance Consulting is a professional services firm dedicated to risk consulting and auditing. We were founded in 2002 by a group of former "Big 4" technology audit consultants whose independence from all technology vendors and service providers was of utmost importance. Our concept was to create a firm of Senior IT auditors that provided a high quality audit consulting service without a high overhead. Our independence and vast array of experience means clients receive objective, pure advice. Our clients have rewarded us for the individual attention and value we provided them by recommending us and asking us to return for additional engagements.
Management Team
Paul Ashe, CPA, CISA
President & Sr. IT Consultant
Paul Ashe serves as president and a senior IT consultant for Securance Consulting. Over the last six years, he has managed numerous technology risk management engagements for industry leaders such as Lowes Home Improvement, Northrop Grumman, General Mills, and KeyCorp. Previously, Ashe was a senior project manager for Selectica, Inc. (a software development firm) where he was responsible for the successful completion and implementation of a $2 million software projects. Ashe also spent 4 years at Ernst & Young as a senior technology risk management consultant. He holds a Master of Accounting Information Systems and dual Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida.
Kirk Khan, CPA, CISA
Practice Director & Sr. Consultant
Kirk Khan serves as practice director and a senior IT consultant for Securance Consulting. Khan joins Securance after a very successful career at Ernst & Young, rising to a risk consulting manager. Khans 7+ year experience at Ernst & Young afforded him an opportunity to perform risk consulting with industry leaders in entertainment, health service, technology, utilities, and retail. Khan holds a Master of Accounting Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Staff Summary
As a firm of Sr. Finance and IT audit consultants all of our staff are experienced auditors with 10+ years of experience. Our founders as well as all of our consultants are technical auditors that can also manage a project team. We are Sr. field-level audit consultants capable of managing a project team or executing an engagement individually with an ultimate objective of identifying all risks on time and within budget. We are guided by the mission...."get it right the first time...everytime."
As a technology risk management firm we have the experience, supported by the methodologies, to perform an entire technology infrastructure assessment. Our experience includes a thorough understanding of network, database and application security. We are in front of risk management for emerging technologies including wireless networks, web-enabled applications, and Linux systems.
Our consultants are leaders in providing technology risk management services and have frequently been invited to speak at technology risk management and industry conferences and association chapter meetings.
